Mackinaw City Attractions

There is history to be learned, natural beauty to be seen, and downtown goodies to be eaten! There are many little shops to be visited and restaurants to dine at! Here are a list of attractions to visit in the Mackinaw City area. Every one of them are spectacular!


Colonial Michilimackinac was founded in 1715 as a French fur trading village and military outpost, but later on abandon when they moved the fort to Mackinac Island (known as Fort Mackinac). There are live rifle demonstrations, cannon salutes, and lots of history to soak in!

The Mackinac Bridge is a unique attraction in the area. It spans 5 miles to connect the upper peninsula with the lower peninsula, and is currently the 3rd longest bridge in the world!

The Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse was founded in 1889 and has been guiding ships through the straits for over 60 years.
